Rosé wine values tasted in 2009
The selected French bottlings have given me much pleasure for the price. I have purchased them again for personal consumption. I would consider doing so even with a 50 percent mark-up. (My criteria are explained here.)
This page skips the tasting notes of the wines that are not imported into the USA. The complete page of french wine values can be found here. You’ll learn the availability of wines if you enter a location name in the search box at the top of the page.
The below wines were tasted in France, in 2009 (between April and December).
Vin de pays des maures - Piqueroque - (5l box wine) - Rosé
NV - USD 7.8 - no trouble but no interest, ressembles the 2005 vintage - flower on the nose - light on its feet, a touch stiff, starfruit, fresh
Vin de pays du var - Domaine de Brigue - (rosé)
2008 - USD 10 - typical - iris - round, dense and fresh
